2012 Clean & Beautiful Yard Awards

Overview
The Clean & Beautiful Committee awards approximately 75 residences and businesses for their efforts to help make West Valley City clean and beautiful.

How it Works
The city is divided into multiple judging areas depending on the number of judges. All of the judges are volunteers who donate their time to help select the winners each year. Attempts are made each year to prevent awards being given to the same recipients each year.

There are approximately four (4) awards given out to each of the 19 areas of the City. Award recipients are given a yard sign to display in front of their home or business and are recognized at an awards receptions before a City Council meeting.

Judging begins in May and continues through June.

Nominations
The Clean and Beautiful Committee is currently accepting nominations.

Recipe of the Month

Homemade Laundry Detergent

Yep, that's right, you can make your own laundry detergent for around $0.05 per load vs. $0.21 per load when compared to commercial detergent. It really is SUPER EASY and super fast to make. I've been making my own for about 2 months now and love it! If anyone has any questions feel free to ask me by submitting a contact form on this website. I retrieve the submissions and will answer you right away. Go ahead....don't be afraid to bring out your pioneer side...after all, it is Pioneer Day here in the great state of Utah! Get the Recipe
